Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting near a Kent apartment complex Thursday morning.

Information is limited, but the Kent Police Department confirmed one person was shot at Southeast 238th Street, near Clark Lake Park. One person was shot, police said.

Officers have spent much of the morning focusing on a red car in the parking lot, which was towed from the scene.

Several people called 911 after hearing gunshots and yelling in the area shortly after 4 a.m.
